Welcome! We are attempting to get a FAMILY BLOG going. Each one of "us girls" will be a contributor and will post whenever and whatever we want. I suggest subscribing to the blog to get notifications!!!
For my first post, I'm going to attempt to include a quick video of Corban tilling some of my garden. I've been busy planning next year's garden and really need to use some of the space to move some perennials away from the front of my house and into a 'holding spot' until I find a better place for them. After 3 full summers of them being in front of my house, I know for sure they are NOT thriving there ... not nearly enough sunlight during the day.
Well, my upload attempt failed because it was too large. Apparently I'm going to have to do a little research to see what the limits are! Here's a picture instead ...
This picture was taken not quite a week ago, and since then Tylor has dug up the daliahs that might be seen in the back left of the photo ... he has already stored them! He decided to just get it all done in one or two days this time instead of spreading out the work over several weeks. This photo is facing south, so to the back right you see a few of the work crews' trailers. If you could see a little bit more to the right that would be Corban and Megan's house. A little bit more to the left and you'd see the new house going up for my mom and stepdad. YAY!! Behind me to the north is my house; to the west is the big shop; the northwest is the new lean-to that will eventually have a barn attached to it; and to the east and south east is the street and city limits.
Here's are 3 pictures I got of the new house ... yes, that's a 12' front porch :) The front is facing north towards the country. You can see the city neighborhood out the back.
That's all I'll share for now ... I want to post this and see how it looks on the blog. :)
Love, Joanne
The new house will be wonderful!!
