Hello all! It's been a while, but I'm here! I've been really busy ... mostly gardening stuff ... so time slips by and before I realize it, there goes a month.
Yesterday was the day: we have two driveways into this property. One passes Mom and Ron's house first, and then goes up the hill to the big shop and Corban & Megan's place. The other driveway comes to my house, but it also splits pretty much right away and can be taken around the north side of my house, up the hill, and curve around to the shop. SOOOO ... the first driveway I mentioned - it was originally just a regular size, however Corban had to widen it more than double in order for big trucks to come in and out (deliveries for the crew) safely. But when it RAINS - like, when it DUMPS DOWN A TON OF RAIN - a bunch of mud and rocks wash into the street. The street just so happens to be a popular city street that connects HWY 60 and HWY 37, so we need to be mindful of all the others that use that street.
Anyway, I took a few videos and here they are :) I did it for the grandchildren, but then others wanted to see it, too, so I decided to post it. The first one was taken a few hours after the guys started ... pouring and spreading the cement. The second video is the remaining crew finishing up (the rest of the guys went on to another job). Enjoy!
