Trip - Day 3 highlights

FIRST: here is a quick video of the pub we went to the night before that I shared towards the bottom of the first post

On day 3 we walked around Dublin and then headed west to visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park

For Dublin: I REALLY wanted to see the Old Library at Trinity College and was so sad that the first available tickets were well after lunch. Maybe some other time. For me, Dublin was a bit too busy, noisy, and crowded. The dinner at the pub the night before was perfect. I can handle that. But walking around the city was too much for my little brain. I did enjoy the sites, but was not disappointed when it was time to go.

Here are a few photos and a quick video from that morning in Dublin. It was really difficult for me to take photos and videos AND enjoy what was going on around me, so videos and photos are a bit scarce. Corban and Megan probably took more, but I keep forgetting to ask them for a copy.

We stopped at a Subway somewhere along the way for a quick lunch. I just assumed Subway is Subway, but it's not. The sandwich maker lady was quite confused when I asked for oil and vinegar, and had to go in search of salt and pepper when I asked for that. It was a good sandwich, but it was not the Subway sandwich that I'm used to!

Bunratty Castle and the whole "Folk Park" surrounding was fantastic!! I'd love to go there again when I have more time to really explore all there was to offer. So much history and everything was very beautiful and well done. It's basically a living history museum. Well worth visiting if you are nearby.

I'll share a long video first - I believe it's worth watching if you have time, but I'm also sharing some photos. This took a lot of time to put it all together for this blog post, so I hope someone is appreciating it!!! :) :) :) Really, I enjoyed looking through everything again.

A very big gun. I'm sure David knows what it's called.

A window to look down into the room ... see the next photo.

A door in the door.

Walled garden near the big house.

And here is a few photos of where we stayed this night - on a working family farm near the Cliffs of Moher.
