A peek into our daily conversations

Did some much-needed toy purging while the children were out with Brian. Elvia comes home, goes in her bedroom and I hear her exclaim in a loud voice "what happened to the hotel?!" I realized she's talking about the closet… They had a bunch of bedding spread out in there I guess that was where they had their hotel.

Daddy tells Elvia at the dinner table “you don’t eat enough, You’re going to be so tiny that the wind will blow you away outside!” I added “like a leaf!” Daddy said “yeah, and you’ll blow away into the sky…” Elvia stares at him seriously the whole time he’s talking and then quietly and soberly remarks that she’s just gonna stay inside. we thought that was pretty clever considering she’s just two.

Little David asks if ladies can work on construction crews and I said yeah they sometimes do… So he then told Elvia “Elvia,” she interrupted to say “no im baby girl” “ baby girl”, he resumed, “you’re not gonna be one of those moms with babies someday, when you grow up you’re just gonna work on a construction crew and not have babies that way you can work with me”

Little David sitting at the lunch table and asks daddy why there is a bee on the honey jar. Daddy says “well that’s simple, because bees make honey. Now you see the salt bottle over here it has a lady with an umbrella, now, THATS something to ask a question about!” those two 🙄🙄🙄 Little David then wanted to know if salt comes out of rain or if rain comes out of salt.

The other day Little David asks what time it is?? I say “8pm- whoa! Past your bath time!” He very happily announces “daddy it’s PAST bath time! No bath tonight!”

Little David and Elvia are walking around with diaper bags. He let me know his has a wallet in it and they are going to Walmart… I said what are you going to get at Walmart and he said a toy. Then he said he brought a lot of money along so he could buy a toy that wouldn’t break… A few minutes later he showed me the toy and said it’s expensive and it’s metal... The boy knows what he’s looking for!
