Cliffs of Moher, Giants Causeway, Dark Hedges - Ireland and Northern Ireland

THREE videos and some pictures in this post.
Day four was the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast of Ireland, and then we drove a ways to Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. The Giant's Causeway was absolutely amazing and I'm so thankful I got to see it!!! We arrived there after a long day of driving and I'm sure we were all tired!!! It was a bit chilly and was drizzling; we had quite a long walk (over a mile?) to get to the best of it ... and I think I was doing the "potty dance" the entire time!!! EEEEK! So worth it. We also did a quick stop at Dark Hedges before checking in to a wonderful privately owned hotel on the Northern Ireland coast. We've never heard of Dark Hedges prior to seeing it on the map ... a nice walk.

We left the Cliff's of Moher and headed N.E. to Northern Ireland. It was a long day of driving!!!! I can't even remember where we ate lunch that day .... but .... google maps to the rescue. Creepy. I checked it out and then remembered that we parked (at a very random spot on the wrong side of a road, of course) in a little village, walked through the village farmer's market, and then walked another block or so to a convenience store that had a deli in the back. We had really nice sandwiches from the deli and bought chips and such to go with it. We also bought delicious strawberries at the market. We ate while driving.

INCREDIBLE! LOVED IT!!!! Here's a video ... worth watching, in my opinion!

Our final destination this evening was a nice little privately owned hotel on the coast. It was perfect!!! Great price, great breakfast, beautiful setting. Here are a few photos of Dark Hedges first, and then a video of Dark Hedges and the hotel where we stayed ... the hotel setting was SO PEACEFUL! I could live there.

The final video - a short one. :)

That's it for now!! I'll get to work on the next post ... we'll finally be in Scotland! Love to all, j
